From Stone to Stone

An encounter with art becomes a record of making.

Filmed on an iPhone in 2023–2024, From Stone to Stone follows Stone Chun Shi’s encounter with a Jackson Pollock stone sculpture at Jason McCoy Gallery and his response through Stonecube painting.

Through observation, reflection and making, the film offers another way into the artist’s practice.
